It's possible with agarose gel, altho a bit tricky.

I used 4.5% agarose gel, to make it you have to let the agarose sit in buffe
r for hours before heating up.

And run the gel for a long time (say 3-4 hours).

If you fragments are small (I had 70 vs 90 bp),

run the gel in a cold room to minimize the degradation.

I think it's worth the try before going for polyacrylamide

since it's much eeasier. But of coz polyacrylamide is the

golden standard for high resolution.
