照偶的理解, isoenzyme 是指:

1. For endonucleases, if two different enzymes bind to the same DNA
sequence, then they are the isoemzymes. This is the case even
if they cut differently.
2. Another case is similar to Lactate Dehydrogenase (LDH), there are
three isoenzymes, each having slightly different amino acid composition,
but they all does the same job. The LDH holoenzyme (the complex) has
4 subunits, each of these subunits can be from Muscle (M) or Heart (H)
type. These two types predominate in their corresponding tissue but
are also expressed throughout the organism. There is another type
which is specific to sperm.
