i have only used RNaseH, RNaseT1 for cDNA stuff. and i donno
its function in mammalian.
let us see this one
Mol Cell Biol 1999 Dec;19(12):8361-71
in S.C., RNase H was found to remove RNA primer from Okazaki frag.
Biochemistry 1999 Nov 16;38(46):15097-103
for HIV and other retrovirus, RNase H function is essential for
activity of the RT.
J Biol Chem 1999 Oct 1;274(40):28270-8
Human RNase H was cloned and found to cleave DNA:RNA substrate,
then what function:)? antibody template switch? DNA replication?
Mol Pharmacol 1999 Oct;56(4):841-8
Human RNase H was inhibited by thiopurine, RNase H functions in
DNA replication.
Methods 1999 Jul;18(3):252-65
RNase L was activated by 2'-5
RNase L was activated by 2'-5' phosphodiester formation, functions
to protect mammalian, in supplement to RNase H for higher euka.
J Virol 1999 Aug;73(8):6573-81
RNase H is necessary for retrovirus.
Hehe, so the basic idea is that RNase H has been applied by virus
for infection/replication. and in higher eukaryotes, it has other
functions in DNA replication, anti-viral, and antibody formation.
