这么说吧，你这个问题简直就没边了。这种表达量降低是普遍现象还
是这个启动子特异的？你可以测一下其他基因的表达水平， 或者做
internal control。 This way you'll know whether it's specific
for your promoter or just general effect by the drug.
secondly,what kind of drug do you use? transcription inhibitor?
translation inhibitor or anything else?
if it's specific for your promoter you can do RPA or northern
to determine whether the RNA level changes. and you can do
nuclear runon to test whether the transcription rate is affected.
or your drug triggers some RNA degrdation pathway. blah, blah
you really need to do good control to know what's going on in
your system
