They used whole genome shortgun method, which is under a lot of
scrutiny.

Sequencing is not hard at all, just work load, I mean, if you use all the
stuff that has been proved to be useful, and you have the money to buy
all those stuff, sure, you can hire several high school students to do it.

One big problem with our scientific community is to make certain things so
mysterious, science should be simple, logic and straight forward, especially
biological science. Sequencing is nothing complicated.

Bioinformatics assay depends on what software those people use, if they never
developed their own software or algorithm, I don't see there is anything
significantly more complicated than the sequencing work itself.

What I am against is YOU DON'T HAVE TO MAKE SUCH A BIG FUSS ABOUT IT.
publication on science and nature is a common thing in US universities, it
has nothing to be related with National Pride.

Let's just learn to be professional :)
