There are some reviews on Nature 422 3/13/03 about the progress of proteomics,
which is very promising to address function(s) of gene(s) from the aspect of
protein. i downloaded all the pdf and felt very happy (pardon my 小农, but i
do not have access to most journals:P). you will see several previous articles
published on Nature following the reviews. worth reading. btw, the figure in
Aebersold's comment is pretty ugly, you will see:).
