I suggest people researching in cell signaling check this site
regularly: http://www.signaling-gateway.org/
This is a joint project betwee AfCS (Alliance of Cellular Signaling) and
Nature. When you enter this site, you'll have a complete(!the most!)
description of over 3,000 signaling molecules. Well, you need to register
free to view the site.
For example, check specific molecules:
go to: http://www.signaling-gateway.org/molecule/
Search it with "calmodulin", you will find a list. Click calmodulin I,
you will find complete description of gene annotation from over 30
public databases of this protein. click mini molecule page, you will
find Daniel Martin Watterson [email protected] is the
author of this molecule page - he wrote it himself.
Later this month, this site will provide authors (like Daniel) with
tools to enter all kinds of information of their molecules, including
pathway information.
You will find this site is VERY helpful. I can post some screen shots if
people like to see it. :)
