Before Copernicus, Ptolemy's theory had been doing pretty
well in describing many astrology phenomenen. We don't
consider Ptolemy's theory is right any more despite all of
that.

Traditional Chinese medicine is just like that. It's built
upon a fundamentally faulty theory. Though a lot of patch
work has been done to explain things, and at times it seemingly
works well, but I think it's just fundamentally wrong. Of course
a wrong theory is still part of science exploration. But
sticking to it is not scientific spirit.
