at the same time, label a fresh LB plates at different regions.
soon after you mix your bacteria in TE, scrape your toothpicks on
the LB plates. So you will have a backup plates.

on a single LB plates, I can backup 8-16 colonies. so I drop the
same number of drops TE on parafilm.
