For example, protein structure prediction. Although it is still not very

information by comparative modeling. You can also do fold
recognation/threading or even ab initio modeling, although they are generally

As an potential area for research, it definitely deserves some attention.
Unlike soluble proteins, which have many different folds, membrane proteins
are more regular, such as trans-memberane helix and beta-barrels, which may
share some more common features due to the very similar membrane environment
they reside in. This will compensate the lack of known membrane protein
structures.
Other examples like protein interactions involving membrane proteins,
computational simulation of ion channels, just name a few.
