The overall field I work on is considered hot. But the particular area I am
studying is small but very important, and it requires expertise that most
people in the field do not have (it belongs to another field).
The bottom line is that you have to find your own unique place. For instance,
if you can find a lab that does the similar study to what Roger Tsien's lab
does, and you can applied it to a particular area of study, you can probably
find a good job.
