DO research, first you should love it, and then you will have a chance (only a
chance) to succeed. Success of chance depends on a number of things such as
your advisor level (vision and sense), project impact (big project or small),
the luck (the chance only favors the well-prepared mind), and hardwork.
Take myself as an example, my ph.d and postdoc has been finished in the same
lab in a second-tier university. After I obtained my ph.d., no publication (
only one in preparation) as compared to my master period (5 first author in
SCI journals in China). I wanted to move out of my former advisor's laboratory
, but no publication can give me a chance to get a better offer to a big bull'
s labortaory (but I saw my peer to get a postdoc offer from Caltech with
several shining publications). Only the solution for me was to stay in the
original lab to finish that promising project (I gene%潬堙 -0播.3笲e+lU甊蘁UP#p沞0 3hL g2牴塜bL岎0-0敄7ρ櫈攃簠枼L*aw嵄W籖m爇弃儖d幀DG搥懳7*梹J﹕燱{>`庱jx傤F
