That is the titel of a report in the latest issue of Business Week (www.
businessweek.com).
In the Contents page, there is this introdution: "Beijing's new rules and a
rising yuan could force the closure of a wide swath of the mainland's
manufacturers. Some multinationals are thinking about relocating."
In the print, the article carries this message (in red; which may not appear
in the web edition): "Beijing says cleaner, higher-quality producers will
replace the closed plants. But The shift may hit China harder than officals
expect."
My comment: Why do I post this report in Taiwan board? Once--in fact, THE
MOMENT--you read it, you will know. I am for free trade, but I am also
against government bailout, both of which are mottoes of US Republican party
. Anyway, neither the Chen Administration or the incoming Ma Administration
will bail out those Taiwanese entrepreneurs who are going to lose everything
in China. Not because they are Republican but because Taiwan has no money
for that sort of things.
